5/26/25 A stroll down memory ln

Image
Hey all. A fairly regular week. There is a street in the area named memory lane and we have a friend that lives on it. We visited a farmers market and talked to some really cool people (someone thought I was Hispanic guess I have a pretty good tan). Memorial day had a big parade yesterday right at the same time as church so we weren't able to go and share the word there. But, happy memorial day yall. Love, Elder Hsu  Pictures- 1- there is a hall of temples in the new church building: Taipei Taiwan 2- good geode 3- a view of the one the only clearlake 4- Memory Ln 5- the Seattle Washington temple.

5/19/25 The curse of the bumby dirt roads

Hey, all This week was not too eventful. I arrived in the new area and it is a lot more of driving from place to place and especially off the main highway it is bumpy. Overall there are some really cool people being taught here and a nice small town. The ward is quite nice and there isn't anything I can say yet. Clearlake seems to be looking towards a fun transfer. (I sure hope it doesn't get much hotter) We did a little service helping a member fill up a garden bed that was recently built. It has been a little while since I have done that type of heavy work but it was fun and an entertaining experience.  Love you all and be safe, Elder Hsu Pic: -flowers -Elder Swenson and I after some service.

5/12/25 Adeiu Vac, Hello Clearlake

Transfers are here and I am leaving Vacaville this week. Last Wednesday we had our temple trip. We went over to the Sacramento temple and did a session. The temple was small and beautiful and the ground had a ton of colorful flowers.  This week we also had a lot more service lending a hand to members and the community. One of the projects was helping some members that live in a bus (they say they save thousands because of it) move a dresser out and a different one in. After we did that we got Jersey Mikes... I enjoyed that immensely. Sidenote after the sweltering heat of this last week there was a bit of rain today with a high of only 65! I love when it isn't 93 degrees. To end my time in Vacaville I will share my favorite Book of Mormon scripture: Alma: 46:12 Pics- 1- dew on tag 2- JERSEY MIKES (we didn't name it that it was the member) 3- temple 4- temple selfie 5- temple flowers 6- expelliarmus!

5/5/25 Day 100 of missionary life

Image
Hey, First of all sorry for last week where I forgot to tell the story from the title. It was simply us, a member and a guy we were teaching, went out to lunch at 5 guys. This week had nothing much going on. It hit 85° here... I am worried more degrees are on the way. Overall I know more of my stuff and am a lot more missionary like here at day 100 compared to day 1. The highlight of the week would be playing pickleball this morning with the district. Love you all back at home or wherever you may be. Stay safe and stay smart. Till next time, Elder Hsu  Pics- 1- the heat is getting to everyone (P.S. she is fine) 2- cool porch deco 3- chillin in the car
