4/28/25 Five guys at Five Guys

Image
Good day all, This week was fairly eventful in terms of fun things happening. First, I went on an exchange in a biking area meaning that it was a good leg workout biking and walking everywhere. Elder McIntyre is a really cool. Next was a mini celebration for finally breaking through all the bureaucracy and phone calls to successfully get my ADHD meds. Now for the crazy part I got a second exchange this week with Elder Joaquin and he basically taught the way of relaxing while being out and about. Last but not least, Stake Conference was this week and Elder Brough and Elder Fay realize it was a he said she said sort of situation that missionaries were not allowed to go to adult sessions. We went and gave a ride to another set of elders. The area seventy (Elder John C. Pingree) was talking and he started asking questions to the congregation. Elder Fay and I were nominated as mic runners for the rest of the meeting. It was really fun and there were some great i...

4/21/25 Why lift weights when you can lift furniture?

Hey, all! This last week was eventful. First we moved apartments so we alongside another set of elders and the housing senior missionaries moved all the furniture to the new apartment. the amount of stuff that needed moved was underestimated so it ended up being almost exclusively the furniture and larger items. The rest of the day was spent going back and forth moving the rest of the miscellaneous items. The other highlight of the week is that we talked to this really cool guy named Miguel with his ball python n amed Sn àk é (sna-kay). The bonus to Miguel's story was that we were able to get him to attend a baptism that the Foxboro elders were having. When we encountered trouble getting a ride for him we decided to check with another friend of ours Jayson who is really chill but unpredictable... was home and willing to give him a ride. Even better they knew each other because they both lived in that area for a good long while. That was a coo...

4/14/25 1 v 1 for salvation

Hello all from home, This week was interesting due to it being a post conference week. Nothing too crazy happened other than an exchange during the week where I was left to take lead for a day... and what is mentioned in the title Elder Brough when we were doing public finding at a park challenged a group of guys to a 1v1 in basketball. He did fairly well and during that time we talked to the other dudes about us as missionaries and gave them the info for basketball night. The senior missionaries, the Folsoms, left to go home and because we are in the same apartment complex we are not only helping move out the mission issued senior missionary furniture but we are also this week moving into that apartment and hauling all our furniture across the complex.  As Easter is on its way, yesterday was palm Sunday and there has been a focus in the Browns Valley ward to make Easter a season rather than just a day in relation to Christ. So, this week I invite you all to find way...

4/7/25 Having a (b)rough week

Hey all, This week has been crazier than most with transfers, general conference, and a bad cold. Transfers were neat passing Elder Wallace off and picking up Elder Brough who is really energetic and enthusiastic 24/7. We had to go here there and everywhere due to needing an oil change in the car and a doc appointment in Santa Rosa. Conference was crazy hearing not 1 but 2 talks mention Chinese and how other languages give perspective to scriptures. Unfortunately this week can't be all good things literally for the last week I have had a moderate cold, and colds suck. This Pday has been the coolest so far the district decided to go off on an hike out in the fringes. Elder Brough said that "work hard. play hard." Is what he lives by. Have a great day wherever you are! With love, Elder Hsu Pics: 1- Elder Brough and cow 2- Elder Brough and Elder Fay running off into the distance 3- Scenic view 4- Elder Mcintyre, Elder Brough, Elder Fay, and Elder Owens  5- Earlier in the hik...
