11/24/25 House of the Lord
Good day everyone,
As the skies cleared up this week and the weather continues to become colder the crowning event of the week was a large group visit (me, Elder Payne, the sisters, the senior missionary couple, 2 recent converts, and a brother from the ward) to the Oakland California Temple. First of all the drive was a great rest for my legs and second the temple the best word to describe it would be grand. On a hill overlooking the city it was quite the landmark. And all the artistry and architecture were both really cool. What I'm saying is this temple was great just like the other ones I have been to bit it was also an experience like no other.
Other than that trip the week was fairly normal leading into this holiday week which will probably not be as normal. Today we had Zone P-Day and President and Sister Quinn joined us this morning to play pickleball. I was lucky enough to play a round the both of them versus me and Elder Grighun... the score was 8-11 a loss, which means I gotta practice and win next time.
The quick thought for this week is just a reminder to give thanks this Thanksgiving season for any and all things in your life. Love and gratitude are the strongest things you can have for others and yourself so make sure you have a good amount of both.
Enjoy your Feasting,
Elder Hsu
