1/12/26 Put Your Best Foot Forward

Good day all,

This is your weekly reminder I am not dead. Other than that this week had little chaos. There were some more intriguing news was that I am a hot topic in leadership and none of them decided to ask me about the situation. So I being a little tired spiraled and snowballed into them thinking I don't want to be out here. That was sad to hear. But I am not defined by others opinions of me so this moment won't stick.
On other note our bike lock jammed so we are unable to safely secure the bikes when out and about so this week we walked tons. Guesstimate is around 20,000+ steps a day. But we are more connected with the community because we are more seen. Upsides and downsides to all actions.
Today we visited the Armstrong Redwoods. I didn't realize how much I missed wandering around in the woods until I got the chance to wander the woods. I didn't get lost but I definitely found the admiration of nature that had started to collect some dust in the back of my mind.
There is one last moment of today that was great. I got to flaunt my boy scout status by being prepared for an unknown situation and also having the right tool for the job. One of the rules as a missionary is that we aren't supposed to be in public in casual clothes (or at least avoid when possible). And as we were coming back from the hike we ordered pizza over phone. We arrived in the parking lot and we realized nobody had standard missionary attire... everyone but me who had my shirt and tie tucked in my bag! I saved the day. (Also the pizza was good)

Until next week,
Elder Hsu
